Aarti Karat Yashoda Pramudit
Not an aarti to Krishna but a description of one — Yashoda performing it, too full of joy to contain herself.
समर्पितभगवान कृष्णआरति करत यसोदा प्रमुदित,फूली अंग न मात।बल-बल कहि दुलरावत,आनन्द मगन भई पुलकात ॥
सुबरन-थार रत्न-दीपावलि,चित्रित घृत-भीनी बात।कल सिन्दूर दूब दधि अच्छत,तिलक करत बहु भाँत ॥
अन्न चतुर्विध बिबिध भोग,दुन्दुभि बाजत बहु जात।नाचत गोप कुंकुमा छिरकत,देत अखिल नगदात ॥
बरसत कुसुम निकर-सुर-नर-मुनि,व्रजजुवती मुसकात।कृष्णदास-प्रभु गिरधर को मुख,निरख लजत ससि-कांत ॥

The two editions agree throughout; only orthography differs (सिन्दूर / सिंदूर, कुम्कुमा / कुंकुमा), and the older Braj spelling यसोदा is retained as both editions give it. No modern source translation is reproduced.
आरति करत यसोदा प्रमुदित का अर्थ
Most aartis address the deity. This one watches someone else perform one. The subject throughout is Yashoda — her hands, her tray, her repeated tilak, her inability to hold still — and Krishna appears only in the final line, when the poet looks at his face. It is a small and deliberate inversion: the devotion on display belongs to a mother doing an ordinary thing for her child, and the poem's reverence is directed at her doing it. The signature is Krishnadas, one of the eight Ashtachhap poets.
