श्री रामचन्द्र कृपालु भजमन

श्री रामचन्द्र कृपालु भज मन हरण भवभय दारुणम्। नवकंज लोचन कंज मुख कर कंज पद कंजारुणम्॥

O mind, worship compassionate Ramachandra, who removes the terrible fear of repeated worldly suffering.

कन्दर्प अगणित अमित छवि नवनील नीरद सुन्दरम्। पटपीत मानहुँ तड़ित रुचि शुचि नौमि जनक सुतावरम्॥

His lotus-like eyes, face and hands, and his beauty like countless gods of love, fill the heart with devotion.

भजु दीनबन्धु दिनेश दानव दैत्यवंश निकन्दनम्। रघुनन्द आनन्दकन्द कोशलचन्द दशरथ नन्दनम्॥

His form is lovely like a rain cloud; his yellow garment shines and he is dear to Janaka's daughter Sita.

सिर मुकुट कुण्डल तिलक चारु उदारु अङ्ग विभूषणम्। आजानुभुज शर चाप धर संग्राम जित खरदूषणम्॥

I bow to the sun of Raghu's lineage, friend of the humble, destroyer of demons and descendant of Raghu.

इति वदति तुलसीदास शंकर शेष मुनि मन रंजनम्। मम हृदय कंज निवास कुरु कामादि खलदल गंजनम्॥

He bears crown, earrings, sacred mark and ornaments, with strong arms carrying bow and arrow.

मन जाहि राचेउ मिलिहि सो वरु सहज सुन्दर साँवरो। करुणा निधान सुजान शील सनेहु जानत रावरो॥

Thus Tulsidas praises the Lord who delights Shiva, Shesha and sages and lives in devotees' hearts.

एहि भाँति गौरी असीस सुनि सिय सहित हिय हरषीं अली। तुलसी भवानिहि पूजि पुनि पुनि मुदित मन मंदिर चली॥

May Rama remove desire and other inner enemies and always dwell in the lotus of my heart.
