समर्पितशनि देवजय जय श्री शनिदेव भक्तन हितकारी।सूरज के पुत्र प्रभु छाया महतारी ॥
श्याम अंग वक्र-दृष्टि चतुर्भुजा धारी।नीलाम्बर धार नाथ गज की असवारी ॥
क्रीट मुकुट शीश राजित दिपत है लिलारी।मुक्तन की माला गले शोभित बलिहारी ॥

The two editions differ in several readings and the linguistically sound one is set here in each case: श्याम अंग (BhaktiBharat reads अंक), नीलाम्बर (Drik Panchang reads निलाम्बर), and राजित in verse 3 (Drik Panchang reads सहज, BhaktiBharat रजित). Verse 4's offering line is worded differently in the two editions; the compact BhaktiBharat reading is set. No modern source translation is reproduced.
शनि देव आरती का अर्थ
Shani is approached differently from most deities in household worship — not as a giver of abundance but as the keeper of consequence, and the aarti reflects that. Its offerings are iron, sesame, oil and black gram rather than gold and sweets alone, and its images are dark: the shadowed body, the sidelong glance, the blue robe. The tradition reads Shani's severity as accountability rather than malice, which is why the same aarti calls him the well-wisher of the devout in its opening line.
