Hindi Bhajan

Giridhar Gopal alone is my Lord; there is no other refuge for me.

The one crowned with peacock feathers is the beloved sovereign of my heart.

Worldly relations can no longer define the soul's deepest belonging.

I have released concern for family prestige; what can worldly judgment do?

Sitting among saints, I have let go of social embarrassment.

I watered the vine of divine love with my tears.

That vine has now spread and borne the fruit of joy.

I rejoice on seeing devotees and grieve at the world's forgetfulness of the Divine.

Meera, servant of Giridhar, asks her beloved Lord to carry her across.
